The MEF provides matching grants for Nazarene pastors who complete the COMPASS Journey and/or COMPASS Quest programs.
Funding for the MEF
Lilly Endowment Inc.
Lilly Endowment Inc. awarded the Church of the Nazarene an initial grant to establish the MEF, in 2016.
Local Churches
The local churches of COMPASS participants provide a one-time grant to assist him or her with debt reduction or retirement savings.
Individual Donors
Individuals donate to the MEF to provide life-giving assistance to pastors through the long-term sustainability of the matching grants.
