Wesley Center Conference 2021

Economics of Vocational Ministry

The Economics of Vocational Ministry:

Living at the Crossroads of Affordability and Calling

The 2021 Wesley Center Conference will be virtual this year, and will address economics and stewardship for the local church and the local pastor. Ministry finances have presented unique challenges for pastors and local churches, even before COVID-19. From the minister's personal finances to the long-term sustainability of the local church, financial challenges must be faced and managed. Join us this year as we explore these economic challenges from a distinctly Wesleyan perspective.

Plenary speakers will be Dr. Jeren Rowell (NTS President), Dr. David Wang (Biola University), and Melissa Spas (Lake Institute on Faith and Giving at Lilly Family School of Philanthropy). Choose from a variety of workshops addressing topics such as local church budgeting, the pastor's personal finances, the Fidelity 403(b) retirement savings account, church financial best practices, the financial impact of COVID-19, and financial communications skills.

This conference will be an opportunity for pastors and laity to gather together to name the challenges and then explore possibilities for moving into an uncharted future. Plan now to join us for these important conversations and feel empowered and encouraged as we navigate the days ahead.
